Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for real-time threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis across cloud/on-prem environments
- Lead incident investigations using MITRE ATT&CK framework and create detailed forensic reports
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Collaborate with network teams to implement zero-trust architecture and NIST compliance
- Deliver security awareness training and executive-level threat briefings
- Stay current on emerging threats through threat intelligence feeds and research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and EDR solutions
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S) and security architectures
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security events
- Excellent written/verbal communication for cross-stakeholder collaboration
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain immediately
