Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement security controls to mitigate emerging threats
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS standards
- Document security incidents and prepare executive-level incident reports
- Lead security awareness training for cross-functional teams
- Manage security tools including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and EDR solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations with hands-on incident response experience
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification required
- Proficiency in threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and Windows/Linux systems
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts during critical incidents
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
