Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents and execute appropriate response protocols.
- Manage the patch management lifecycle to ensure systems are up-to-date with the latest security fixes.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify risks.
- Enforce and monitor compliance with internal security policies and external regulations (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement secure coding practices and infrastructure configurations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or CEH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with incident response frameworks and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
