Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security incidents and anomalies
- Conduct threat hunting using MITRE ATT&CK framework methodologies
- Perform forensic analysis of security breaches and malware incidents
- Develop and maintain security playbooks for incident response
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and patches
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Stay current on emerging threats and vulnerabilities through threat intelligence feeds
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (required)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools and log analysis techniques
- Experience with network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS)
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work rotating shifts in 24/7 security operations environment
