Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts within the SIEM environment (Splunk, QRadar, or similar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk evaluations, and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with external forensics teams during security breaches.
- Enforce strict security policies and manage user access controls (IAM).
- Generate comprehensive security reports and dashboards for executive leadership.
- Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats and update defense mechanisms accordingly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in SOC analysis or network security.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools and scripting languages (Python or PowerShell).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and network architecture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
