Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and analyze security alerts for suspicious activity
- Investigate security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and document findings
- Implement security controls and remediation measures across network infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams on vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop incident response playbooks and conduct tabletop exercises
- Generate executive-level security reports and compliance documentation
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC or security operations
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or Sentinel)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and security architectures
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and malware analysis
