Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with NIST frameworks
- Analyze threat intelligence and emerging cyber threats to proactively protect organizational assets
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches, ensuring minimal business disruption
- Generate executive-level security reports and metrics demonstrating risk posture improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Expertise in network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain government clearance is a plus
