Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and triage potential incidents
- Conduct forensic investigations of security breaches and generate detailed incident reports
- Implement vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Collaborate with IT teams to deploy security controls and patch management solutions
- Develop playbooks for incident response procedures and threat mitigation strategies
- Stay current with emerging threats through continuous research and threat intelligence analysis
- Document security policies and procedures in compliance with NIST and ISO standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, SOC, or incident response roles
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls, and network security protocols
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Recorded Future, ThreatConnect)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to prioritize complex security alerts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
