Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and prioritize incident response activities
- Conduct forensic investigations of security breaches and document detailed incident reports
- Implement vulnerability scanning and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and playbooks for incident response
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and GDPR
- Provide real-time threat intelligence analysis and recommend mitigation strategies
- Participate in security awareness training programs for employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and vulnerability scanners
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and endpoint protection
- Experience with forensic investigation tools and malware analysis techniques
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security events
- Valid U.S. work authorization and ability to pass background clearance
