Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents, documenting findings and recommending remediation steps
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks, policies, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and ensure regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Stay current with emerging threats and threat intelligence through continuous research and training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or threat detection
- Professional certifications: CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in security tools: SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud architectures (AWS/Azure)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make critical decisions under pressure
