Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Develop and implement security controls to mitigate zero-day exploits and advanced persistent threats
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and PCI-DSS frameworks
- Document security incidents and forensic analysis in detailed incident reports
- Lead security awareness training for employees across multiple departments
- Manage patch management lifecycle for critical security infrastructure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations with hands-on SIEM experience (Splunk/QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF)
- Experience with incident response protocols (NIST SP 800-61)
- Knowledge of cloud security architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security events
