Responsibilities

  • Threat Detection & Response: Monitor Security Operations Center (SOC) dashboards in real-time to identify, analyze, and respond to security incidents and alerts.
  • Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses and implement timely remediation.
  • Security Tool Administration: Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection solutions to maintain a robust defense-in-depth strategy.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and audit trails to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Incident Investigation: Perform deep-dive log analysis and forensic investigations to determine the scope and impact of security breaches.
  • DevSecOps Integration: Collaborate with development teams to embed security controls into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Certifications: Active certification such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH is highly preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience working in a SOC environment, as a Network Administrator, or in a security-focused IT role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel) and log analysis tools; knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and common attack vectors.
