Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats in real-time
- Conduct proactive threat hunting and vulnerability assessments across cloud/on-premises environments
- Lead incident response activities including containment, eradication, and forensic analysis
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks, runbooks, and compliance reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and remediate vulnerabilities
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies using threat intelligence feeds
- Participate in security audits and ensure adherence to NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- Strong proficiency with SIEM tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+)
- Expertise in network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat hunting methodologies
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61) and forensic tools
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize high-pressure security events
