Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and analyze potential threats
- Investigate security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and implement containment measures
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans and policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat detection platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize security incidents
