Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across networks and applications
- Develop and implement security protocols to safeguard sensitive data and infrastructure
- Incident response coordination including forensic analysis and mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS standards
- Create detailed security reports and executive dashboards for stakeholders
- Research emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure) and zero-trust architecture
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance
