Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches and cyber attacks
- Analyze network traffic and logs to investigate suspicious activities and anomalies
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security policies and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Document security incidents, remediation actions, and improve preventive measures
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry best practices through continuous learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption technologies
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret complex security data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders
