Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate cybersecurity incidents, determine root cause, and coordinate remediation
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network assets
- Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and runbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Conduct threat hunting and proactive threat intelligence analysis
- Provide security awareness training to employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or similar environment
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Certifications required: CISSP, CEH, or Security+ (with Security+ being minimum)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills under pressure
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
