Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools and established playbooks.
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and threat hunting to proactively identify potential breaches.
- Enforce corporate security policies and ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, CIS, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities and strengthen network defenses.
- Participate in incident response drills, tabletop exercises, and security awareness training initiatives.
- Document security incidents, trends, and findings to improve our overall security posture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or similar environment.
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or similar).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
