Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems 24/7 using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and investigate anomalous activity
- Conduct forensic analysis on security incidents and coordinate rapid incident response
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and risk assessments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement robust security controls and compliance frameworks
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Stay current with emerging threats and threat actor tactics through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience in SOC operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC) required
- Expert proficiency in security tools: IDS/IPS, firewalls, EDR, and SIEM platforms
- Deep understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence methodologies
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and regulatory compliance requirements
