Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security incidents and anomalous activity
- Conduct threat hunting and forensic analysis to identify advanced persistent threats
- Lead incident response lifecycle from detection to containment and eradication
- Develop and maintain security playbooks for incident handling procedures
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement security controls and hardening measures
- Generate executive-level security reports and metrics for stakeholders
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incident response
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC/IR environments
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne)
- Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence sources
- Professional certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and security architecture
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations with exceptional problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
