Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and analyze security alerts to detect potential threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and coordinate response actions
- Develop and implement security monitoring dashboards and reporting mechanisms
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network assets
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance security controls and policies
- Document security incidents, mitigation actions, and lessons learned
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or threat detection roles
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH) preferred
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Ability to work in a 24/7 security operations center environment
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
