Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms to detect and respond to advanced threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and generate detailed incident reports
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
- Develop threat intelligence reports and recommend proactive security measures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate vulnerabilities and implement security best practices
- Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on client systems
- Stay current with emerging threats and cybersecurity trends through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations center (SOC) environments
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat hunting methodologies
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, SANS)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
