Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for real-time threat detection and anomaly investigation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across hybrid infrastructure
- Lead incident response procedures including containment, eradication, and forensic analysis
- Develop security documentation including playbooks, policies, and compliance reports
- Collaborate with network teams to implement zero-trust architecture and security controls
- Analyze malware campaigns and emerging threat vectors using threat intelligence feeds
- Present security metrics to executive leadership and recommend strategic improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, GIAC preferred)
- Expertise in NIST frameworks, ISO 27001, and regulatory compliance
- Advanced knowledge of network protocols, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and IDS/IPS systems
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Strong analytical skills with ability to prioritize critical security events
