Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Azure Sentinel).
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate security breaches, root cause analysis, and implement remediation strategies.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to enforce security policies and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Produce detailed incident reports and security metrics for stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of emerging threats and recommend proactive defense mechanisms.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or network security.
- Valid security certification is highly preferred (CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols.
- Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python or PowerShell) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
