Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and recommend remediation actions
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive leadership
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry compliance standards (NIST, CIS)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security tools
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex security data
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and malware analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents
