Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct incident response and forensics analysis for security breaches
- Develop and implement security controls to mitigate vulnerabilities
- Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and CIS frameworks
- Document security incidents and provide actionable intelligence reports
- Stay current with emerging threats and threat intelligence trends
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience
- Certification required: CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Experience with threat detection and incident response protocols
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Windows, and Linux environments
- Ability to analyze complex security data and prioritize incidents
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
