Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cybersecurity incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement security controls to protect against advanced persistent threats
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and regulatory standards
- Document security incidents, forensic analysis reports, and remediation procedures
- Lead incident response planning and tabletop exercises for critical infrastructure
- Provide security awareness training to employees and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems
- Experience with vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration
