Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement containment measures
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of network/systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incident response
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or security operations
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP), and threat intelligence platforms
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security events
- Knowledge of compliance requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
