Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms 24/7 to detect and respond to security incidents
- Conduct forensic investigations of malware and network intrusions
- Implement NIST 800-53 controls and compliance frameworks
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden systems
- Generate executive-level threat intelligence reports
- Lead incident response tabletop exercises
- Automate security workflows using Python and PowerShell
Qualifications
- 3+ years hands-on SOC experience with SIEM tools (Splunk/QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Expertise in threat hunting using MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Proficiency in network analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and IaaS environments
- Strong written communication for incident reporting
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
