Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on enterprise networks
- Develop and implement security controls for cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure)
- Lead incident response activities including containment, eradication, and recovery
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive briefings
- Collaborate with IT teams to maintain compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in threat detection and incident response
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+ (required)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools and network packet analysis (Wireshark)
- Experience with cloud security architectures and zero-trust frameworks
- Strong written communication skills for security documentation
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts for incident response
