Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and analyze security alerts to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities
- Conduct incident response investigations, including forensic analysis and containment procedures
- Develop and implement security controls to protect network endpoints, systems, and applications
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security gaps
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive dashboards for stakeholders
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and regulatory standards
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or threat detection
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
- Valid driver's license and ability to work on-site in Fresno
