Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security controls for network infrastructure and cloud environments
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA standards
- Document security incidents, forensic analysis, and remediation procedures
- Create executive-level security reports and threat intelligence briefings
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations with hands-on SIEM experience (Splunk, QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Expertise in network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS) and endpoint protection platforms
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols and network architecture
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and container security
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 operations center coverage
