Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and analyze potential security incidents
- Conduct threat hunting and vulnerability assessments using advanced forensic tools
- Investigate security breaches, document findings, and recommend remediation actions
- Develop and maintain security monitoring dashboards and alerting protocols
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Prepare detailed incident response reports and executive summaries
- Stay current with emerging cyber threats and industry compliance standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations center (SOC) environments
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, or similar)
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security, and threat intelligence
- Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+, CEH) preferred
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, SANS)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively under pressure during security incidents
