Responsibilities
- Monitor security events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and investigate potential breaches
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incident response
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on security operations experience
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and network analysis (Wireshark)
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and threat hunting
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
