Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to identify and investigate potential cyber threats
- Conduct incident response activities including containment, eradication, and recovery from security breaches
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Analyze threat intelligence to anticipate emerging cyber risks and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CISM certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and security tools
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security, and compliance frameworks (NIST, GDPR)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and malware analysis techniques
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
