Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to potential cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and code reviews to identify weaknesses in our IT infrastructure.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, ensuring minimal impact on business operations and maintaining audit trails.
- Manage and enforce security policies, access controls, and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to deploy security patches and configure firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees regarding best practices for data protection.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Proven experience in threat detection, incident response, and security monitoring.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
