Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel).
- Conduct daily vulnerability scans and risk assessments to identify potential system weaknesses.
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend remediation strategies.
- Manage firewall configurations and enforce strict security policies across the network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure deployment of software and applications.
- Participate in penetration testing exercises and red team operations.
- Conduct security awareness training and create incident response documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or network security roles.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and network protocols.
- Proficiency in Python or PowerShell for scripting and automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
