Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and respond to security incidents with forensic methodologies
- Develop and maintain threat detection rules and playbooks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and executive summaries
- Stay current on emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on security operations experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification preferred
- Expertise in network security protocols (TCP/IP, IDS/IPS, Firewalls)
- Proficiency in threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Experience with incident response tools (Splunk, Wireshark)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
