Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify system weaknesses.
  • Implement and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
  • Develop and update security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
  • Manage user access controls, perform identity management, and enforce least privilege access.
  • Collaborate with IT engineering and software development teams to remediate vulnerabilities in code and infrastructure.
  • Provide security awareness training and guidance to staff members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
  • Certification: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, subnetting, and routing protocols.
  • Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and log analysis.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows system administration and scripting (Python/Bash).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly.
