Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential breaches using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security incidents
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and CIS frameworks
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Manage patch management and system hardening processes
- Stay current on emerging threats and threat intelligence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or analyst role
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH) required
- Expertise in threat detection, incident response, and log analysis
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and endpoint protection
- Experience with SIEM tools, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
