Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client networks and systems
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches, including forensic investigation and containment
- Collaborate with IT teams to design and enforce security controls and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive dashboards communicating threat intelligence and mitigation strategies
- Stay current with emerging threats and attack vectors through continuous research and training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in security tools: SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and endpoint protection solutions
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence frameworks
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize complex security incidents
- Strong communication skills for documenting incidents and presenting to non-technical stakeholders
