Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable AWS/GCP/Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
- Optimize cloud costs while maintaining 99.99% system availability across multi-region deployments
- Lead cloud migration projects for enterprise clients with zero-downtime methodologies
- Develop CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/GitLab CI and Kubernetes orchestration
- Conduct security audits and implement compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Automate monitoring solutions using Prometheus/Grafana for proactive incident response
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Expertise in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and infrastructure automation tools
- Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect/DevOps Engineer or equivalent Google/Azure certs
- Proven track record of optimizing cloud costs by 30%+ in enterprise environments
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, Flux)
- Strong problem-solving skills with complex distributed systems troubleshooting
- Ability to work autonomously within flexible hour structures (core hours 10am-2pm PST)
