Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for machine learning optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing AI-quantum hybrid computing frameworks
- Author peer-reviewed research publications in top-tier journals/conferences
- Translate theoretical models into scalable quantum computing architectures
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Contribute to open-source quantum AI libraries
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Computer Science, or Physics (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or top-tier ML/quantum venues
- Expertise in tensor networks and quantum machine learning
- Proficiency with high-performance computing clusters and GPU acceleration
- Strong background in advanced mathematics (linear algebra, topology, probability)
- Experience securing DoE/NASA research grants preferred
