Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical governance frameworks for AI systems deployed in high-stakes industries
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align technical teams on responsible AI principles
- Conduct impact assessments for AI deployments, identifying bias and fairness risks
- Develop policy recommendations for regulatory bodies preparing for 2026 AI legislation
- Partner with product teams to embed ethical safeguards into AI development lifecycles
- Monitor emerging AI ethics research and translate findings into actionable strategies
- Present findings to executive stakeholders and industry consortiums
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Ethics, Philosophy, or related field with 5+ years AI ethics experience
- Proven track record in developing AI fairness/bias mitigation frameworks
- Expertise in regulatory landscapes (GDPR, EU AI Act, proposed US frameworks)
- Strong background in machine learning fundamentals and AI system architecture
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex ethics concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience with cross-stakeholder collaboration in tech/government sectors
- Published research in AI ethics or responsible AI (preferred)
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments with ambiguous challenges
