Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies and societal shifts impacting 2026+ landscapes
- Develop and publish annual Future State reports with data-driven predictions and strategic recommendations
- Architect innovation frameworks for quantum computing, AI ethics, and biotech convergence
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-proofing principles into development lifecycles
- Facilitate executive workshops on scenario planning and strategic resilience
- Represent the company at global futurist forums and thought leadership summits
- Mentor cross-functional teams in futures-thinking methodologies and adaptive innovation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercialized solutions
- Expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and systemic risk modeling
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (quantum, AI, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional storytelling and executive communication skills
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation (e.g., MIT Tech Review, HBR)
- Experience with Delphi methods, SWOT-PESTEL analysis, and horizon scanning tools
