Responsibilities
- Design and execute horizon-scanning methodologies to identify emerging technologies and societal trends through 2026+
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks and scenario-planning models for C-suite decision-making
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, product, and design teams
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions (MIT, Stanford) and future-focused research labs
- Present trend analyses and innovation roadmaps to investors and board members
- Mentor a team of futurists and innovation specialists
- Author thought leadership publications on 2026+ market disruptions
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation management, or emerging technology roles
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products/services with global impact
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex futures into actionable strategies
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., WFS, AC/FS) or equivalent
- Experience advising Fortune 500 executives on long-term transformation
