Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and on-premise systems
- Manage and optimize server environments (Linux/Windows), virtualization, and containerization (Docker/K8s)
- Develop automation scripts (Python/Ansible) for deployment and configuration management
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and implement proactive security measures
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Document system configurations, procedures, and disaster recovery plans
- Lead system upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (5+ years experience accepted)
- Expertise in Linux/Windows administration, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and virtualization
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and IaaS/PaaS services
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform)
- Security certifications (CISSP, Security+) and compliance knowledge (GDPR, HIPAA)
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix)
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
