Responsibilities
- Monitor security events and alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and manage patch management processes to reduce exposure.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with industry standards (SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST).
- Develop and maintain documentation, including playbooks, incident reports, and security policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; equivalent experience is accepted.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related technical role.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and automated threat hunting.
