Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity and anomalies
- Investigate security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement remediation actions
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response plans and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry trends to enhance defense mechanisms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in network security protocols and tools (e.g., Firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize threats in real-time environments
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
