Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Execute critical system patches, upgrades, and maintenance tasks during weekend rotation to minimize downtime on trading floors.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance metrics and optimize backend services for equity options pricing engines to ensure sub-millisecond latency.
- Critical Incident Response: Serve as a point of escalation for weekend trading anomalies and resolve technical issues immediately to protect market data integrity.
- Data Integrity: Validate and reconcile large datasets for equity options chains and ensure proper synchronization with global market exchanges.
- Collaboration: Partner with Quantitative Analysts and Frontend Developers to integrate new option strategies into the trading engine.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for weekend procedures and system configurations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably within the financial services or high-frequency trading sector.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in C++ or Python with a deep understanding of memory management and low-latency coding practices.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial markets, specifically Equity Options (calls, puts, Greeks, volatility surfaces).
- Availability: Must be available to work a rotating weekend schedule (e.g., Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday).
- Tools: Experience with Linux environments, distributed systems, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
